Google released the Panda 4.0 that is specifically targeting in press release spammers. As a result of this update, a lot of popular PR websites got hit and lost a significant amount of website traffic.
Now, after the Panda 4.0, you might think press release submission is dead. If you want to stay in White Hat and avoid Google penalty, you shouldn’t ever consider doing Press Release submission.
Well, that is not entirely true; press release submission is still a good way of generating traffic and leads; it all depends on how you use it and implement it into your SEO campaign. Just like guess posting and commenting, relevancy is the key. You should not build links from other sites that are not related to the nature of your business.
If you think about it, the Panda 4.0 is for spammers. As long as you are not spamming, your sites are very unlikely getting penalized.
